Gujarat State Petronet Limited

Introduction

    Gujarat is one of the highly industrialized States of India. It is poised to achieve a sharp rise in gas availability. On account of concrete plan of various companies, supported by the State Government, to establish terminals to receive and re-gasify imported liquefied natural gas (LNG). Infrastructural development is a major concern of the State Government. It, therefore, proposes to implement, a pipeline network to link various natural gas demand centers in the State with supply centers.

Being a nodal agency for the State of Gujarat in creating a high pressure pipeline network for transportation of natural gas throughout the States, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (GSPC) has setup a new company Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL).

The primary objective is to be establish a regulatory mechanism with an authority ensure systematic and integrated development of future gas transmission business with proper co-ordination.
