Introduction
Gujarat State Petroleum
Corporation Ltd. (GSPC) Engaged in the Oil and Gas Exploration and
Exploitation
Planned to diversify into downstream activities wherein value
addition to Oil / Gas could be achieved.
GSEG was
incorporated in December 1998
Memorandum and Articles of Association covers the objective of the
company i.e. Power generation.
In the present scenario, where
almost all Power Projects are facing difficulties and no new
capacities are added to the system, GSEG has created a record of its
own by synchronizing First Gas Turbine in record time of 16 months
from zero date of EPC contract.
Being a gas based power plant it offers environment friendly
solution to the power deficit State of Gujarat. GSEG has long term
gas supply agreement with GSPC-Niko while it has signed Power
Purchase Agreement with GEB for sale of power from the plant. M/s
Steag Encotec GmbH is working as Operation and Maintenance
contractor for the project who has already mobilised at site.
GSEG management has expressed its thanks to all agencies, engaged in
implementation as well as all the lenders and investors who have
expressed their faith in GSEG project.
