POWER SECTOR :
1. Generation
• Power Load Factor (PLF) of Gujarat State Electricity
Corporation Ltd.
(GSECL) Plants will be improved from 70% to 78%.
• Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station (KLTPS) Unit No.-IV (75
MW) will
be commissioned by March-2008.
• The combined cycle Dhuvaran-II system will be commercially
commenced
by November-2007.
• Letter of Intent issued for Ukai, Sikka & Utaran by
October-2007.
2. Transmission
• 50 new Sub-stations will be completed.
• Transmission loss would be reduced to 4.1%.
3. Distribution
• Total revenue will be increased up to Rs.14,400 crores
for the year.
• Distribution losses will be reduced by 4% on average of all
Distribution
Companies. (For PGVCL 6%).
OIL & GAS SECTOR :
• Release of 50,000 new domestic PNG connections
• Letter of Intent (LoI) will be issued for Gujarat State
Energy Generation Ltd.
(GSEG) & Gujarat Pipavav Power Company (GPPC) by October-2007.
• Gas Grid Project : expansion in new sections like Baroda-Halol
(Godhra),
Bhavnagar, Mundra and Surendranagar
RENEWABLE SOURCES OF ENERGY:
• Installation of 600 Nos. of Solar Photovoltaic Street Lights
in various Nagar
Palikas and 700 Nos. of Solar Photovoltaic Street Lights in the
colonies of
Salt workers (Agarias) in the State.
• A MoU for implementation of ECO-III Project will be signed
in May 2007 and
Project will be launched by October 2007 for phase wise
implementation.
• Wind Energy capacity of state is 772 M.W. as on 30/09/07.
