Director Rail Movement's main activities are
coordination with Railways and Gujarat Government on any issues
relating to Railways including new rail lines and metro rail for
Ahmedabad city. In case of drought, the assistances as required by
Government of Gujarat is to be extended for movement of fodder and
water specials to scarcity hit areas. The important function on day
to day basis is to monitor the coal movements to all the thermal
power stations of Gujarat state including Torrent Power AEC Company
Ltd. Ahmedabad.
